Who Are They?

The Harley® Owners Group, otherwise known as H.O.G.®, is a community riding club sponsored and operated by Harley-Davidson®, and composed of H-D® motorcycle owner enthusiasts. In other words, they are “Harley® owners around the world, bound by the passion to ride.” (1)

Membership Types & Benefits

There are several memberships to choose from if you’re interested in being part of the H.O.G.® group. For example, the Full Membership is automatically provided to anyone that buys a new and unregistered H-D® motorcycle (afterwards, you can pay annually, or every two or three years). With it, you get a one-time $100 coverage for roadside assistance, the opportunity to access exclusive H.O.G. events, the Touring Handbook, four issues of the group’s yearly magazine, and more. (2)

Once you become an active full member, your passenger or family member can choose the Associate Membership and benefit from some of the above-mentioned advantages, such as access to events and local chapters. (2)

Finally, the third option is Life and Associate Life Memberships, designed for enthusiasts that are ready to make a serious commitment to the world of H-D® riding. You get all the benefits that other H.O.G.® members receive, and then some: a life member pin and patch and — most importantly — bragging rights. (2)

Member Events

These events are worldwide and year-long and include PIN Stops and H.O.G.® Rallies. The first option is an H-D® gathering that allows you to enjoy the VIP treatment of being a member, meet H.O.G.® staff, and collect a commemorative pin. It’s fun, relaxing, and a great way to meet new people and discuss your favorite hobby: riding a motorcycle. (3)

In addition, rallies are a great alternative to a standard or boring weekend, as you can spend that time in a nearby city or riding along the countryside in search of a new adventure. Whatever the case, they are designed to offer something for everyone. (3)
