Biketoberfest: H-D® Teams Up With Car Club For Fun For Fall

Last month, Adamec Harley-Davidson® decided to start the Biketoberfest celebrations early, and collaborated with the Callahan Cruisers of North Florida Car Club to host a special pre-festival event featuring live entertainment, food, and lots of cars and motorcycles. For those of you who missed it, we’ve got the scoop: (1)

Recap

Every fall, motorcyclists look forward to the annual Biketoberfest festival. (2) However, some lucky riders were able to start the celebration even earlier this year by attending a special gathering by H-D®. The Milwaukee-based bike maker teamed up with the Northern Florida-based Callahan Cruisers group to make the event a real success. (1)

According to Jacksonville.com, the pre-October Bikefest was held on Saturday October 11, 2015 at (1) Adamec Harley-Davidson®’s 8909 Baymeadows Road location in Jacksonville, Florida. (2) The car show, which featured a fine selection of classic vehicles and custom motorcycles, was one of the main highlights — as was the 2016 H-D® model demo rides and available inspection. That being said, the food and live music (by Second Shot) also added to the overall atmosphere, making the gathering even more enjoyable as bikers prepared for an even greater event to come. (1)

Cars & Motorcycles

During the show, some of the vehicles that were spotted at the Biketoberfest kick-off celebration included old-school cars and trucks from automakers like Ford and Chevrolet, classic muscle cars such as Ford Mustangs and Dodge Chargers, and models from Polaris, Mercury, Maserati, and MG, among others. Furthermore, customized cars and trucks, insane vehicle creations, and some of the coolest bikes around were available to browse. (1)

New Model-Year Collection

If you did not have the opportunity to attend the event and test Harley®'s new 2016 model-year collection, then we suggest visiting Adamec Harley-Davidson® in Baymeadows, Orange Park, Regency, or St.Augustine, (2) because the lineup features some very powerful new options to consider. (3)

For example, the entry-level urban-ready Street series now sport s“beefed-up” brakes, according to Gizmag. The new Sportsters benefit from a tweaked suspension (and the XL1200X Forty-Eight and Iron 883 receive more updates), the S-series Softail family sees the addition of two new limited edition models: the Fat Boy S and the Softail Slim S — both of which are powered by a Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110 engine. And you can finally opt a top-of-the-line FLTRU Road Glide Ultra. (3)
