Saturday, November 8, 2014, is a date worth saving. On this day, motorcyclists will have the opportunity to ride over Jacksonville’s bridges for a good cause. The 6th Annual Adamec Harley-Davidson® Ride For Dreams event is right around the corner, and the money raised at the event will help support children with life-threatening illnesses in the Jacksonville community. Granting Dreams for Children
Established in 1984, Dreams Come True is a locally based nonprofit organization with a strong commitment to giving back to the local community by granting dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses. (2)
The upcoming 6th Annual Adamec Harley-Davidson® Ride For Dreams event will give motorcyclists the opportunity to give back to their community by joining the police-escorted motorcycle ride over Jacksonville’s bridges. (2)
Joining the Event
Rain or shine, the sixth annual Ride For Dreams, the original Seven Bridges Ride, kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8th, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration can be done by phone at (904) 296-3030 or via the website www.ridefordreams.com.
The ride will begin and end at Adamec Harley-Davidson®, located at 8909 Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville. Participants need only pay $25 per rider and $15 per passenger or $50 for VIP – a small amount that will go along way to helping the children in the Jacksonville community. (3)
The admission includes more than just the opportunity to ride for a good cause. Registrants are also provided with a goodie bag with a shirt and live music by national country rock artist J Collins. (4)
Admission also includes breakfast, compliments of Joseph’s Pizza, The Loving Cup and Cinottis Bakery as well as lunch courtesy of Copeland’s of New Orleans and Coca-Cola. (4)
Ride for Dreams
Dreams Come True says that, based on the attestation of several medical professionals, a dream considerably impacts a child’s attitude and strengthens a child’s determination to undergo a difficult treatment. (2)
